Dust collector FAQs
Dear reader,
A successful heating transition cannot do without biomass. This applies to heating networks as well as central heating systems and very special single room heaters – wood-burning stoves and tiled stoves. Stoves make people independent, take the pressure off heating and electricity networks, and create acceptance for change. People love their stoves and want to run them efficiently and with low emissions. For some years now, it has been possible to equip stoves with electrostatic dust collectors.
As a manufacturer of electrostatic precipitators, we have noticed that there is a lack of knowledge about this option for reducing emissions, both among the general public and among politicians and, to some extent, even among experts. This sometimes leads to misunderstandings that could be avoided. This applies both to how the equipment works and to its performance.
Although dust collectors have been a tried and tested technology for many years and are common practice, especially for biomass boilers, experience has shown that there are many questions, especially when it comes to solutions for wood-burning and tiled stoves. For this reason, we have compiled the most frequently asked questions and answers from suppliers, authorities and installers here on our website. The answers are up to date as of summer 2024.
Yours sincerely
